salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 15, 2004 Walruses are not very social animals, still -in the short arcticsummer- they like to hang out together and enjoy (or suffer?) the sun. This shot was taken from a sailboat, off Moffen, a small atol-shapedsand bank off the north coast of Spitzberg Island. The last piece ofland before the ice pack and North Pole, a thousand km to the North.I liked the way they were still, with the tusks in all directions.Your comments are most welcome, along your ratings, should you wish so.You can also look at this shot of amale who came to check us out. Guest Guest Posted November 17, 2004 The layered approach in your composition is certainly commendable. I know it must have been quite difficult to get closer but I'm dying to see more details of those "beach boys". Lovely image as it is, though. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted November 23, 2004 You go to the most remote places Salvatore. Great stuff, wish I was there. The nearest to cold is my vit to South Island NZ. Link to comment
