dustin_molesky 0 Posted November 15, 2004 The color is very eye-pleasing, I'm not sure what it is about the photo that I like, I just like it. Very nice... Link to comment
martin woolnough 0 Posted November 15, 2004 This is a much better version than the colour option. The tree reflection in particular works for me. Link to comment
Sandeha Lynch 5 Posted November 15, 2004 The horizontal color close-up struck me as a little busy, but with the main focal point further away the composition here works better. I especially like the way you've used the foreground to set the scene. It must have been quite a sight. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Robert- I like this. The sepia works, but I bet B&W would work too. I think what makes this work so well, not only the interesting focal point, but that little cutout of water in the lower right, allowing the viewer to see the entire tree limb and differentiate the reflection from the real subject. Nicely seen. My only complaint, and it's just a personal preferrence not a critique, I wish it was tack sharp. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 17, 2004 I agree with the above comments. The toning works very well here. The image has a quality about it that reminds me of an etching. I like your choice to include the ground in the foreground. It anchors the photo nicely. This is my favorite of your recent posts from this area. Link to comment
