Sunset at Uluru

nher

Actually I am organizing my stuff. When I saw the Uluru shots I decided to replace the sky for a more dramatic one. My sun likes it. Now, what about you?

Net. Ya he visto que has sido el primero en comentarle algo.

Gracias en su nombre

"My sun likes it"... te refieres a tu "sol" verdad??

Sorry to say, but the sky is definitelly wrong at the first look (and stays so) for the lightning of the earth. Those two elements are nice separated, but don't work well together... Jiri

I have to say I'm in agreement with Peter A. I would have thought Uluru was one subject that did not deserve or in fact need this sort of treatment.

There is no doubt that the sky looks lovely, Angel, but I wonder how much inspiration you drew from Tom T's efforts...

The light on Uluru is quite nice here, but as already pointed out, totally clashes with the backlit clouds behind the rock. Initial reaction at thumbnail level is - yeah nice - but closer examination doesn't allow this to pass the natural lighting test.

Philip, if this were an actual photo it wouldn't have received the 2/3 ratings. Do you even understand the objections some people have to this?

Thank you to the people who dislikes this shot and Muchas Gracias for those who likes it.

Since I was a kid I was dreaming to visit this place and you can imagine I am not going to Oz every year. Probably it has been the first and the last time to visit Australia.

When you are in a place you have been dreaming of, of course, you pray to have the best weather condictions and sometimes you do not get them. It may have icurred to many of us.

My intention has been to make the shot in the ideal condictions I would have liked to see when I was there, always searching for somthing with beauty from an artistic point of view. And photography seems to be, and here are the results, like politics: one can not content everybody.

Anyway, I enclose the origina shot just in case someone wants to see it.

Thank you again for all the critics and for the good comments.

Best regards to everyone!!
