timnichols 0 Posted October 28, 2004 I was arrested for taking these shots of dung flies because it's illegal to shoot craps in West Virginia without a permit. Link to comment
todd. 0 Posted October 28, 2004 Tim, I see you're having quite a bit of fun with your new lens! :) These recent shots don't seem to be lacking at all (per our conversation about the MX14) and I think whatever you changed worked. Great work and keep hunting bugs. I'm going to stop looking now or I'm going to want to go get one for myself. :) - Todd Link to comment
ryanjoseph 0 Posted October 28, 2004 Wow, amazing. You got this shot at just the perfect moment. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 30, 2004 You've definitely figured it out, Tim. This one lacks a little detail in the back end (maybe a good thing?), but the front end is very sharp. Great color, too. Link to comment
kristin_morales 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Tim...this is incredible detail...please share some info on your new lens. You have some great humor going. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Tim, really you were arrested? You're kidding right? This photo is good for the Discovery Channel. Link to comment
timnichols 0 Posted October 31, 2004 I wasn't really arrested, Sally. That was a joke, playing on the words "shooting craps" which is normally a game of chance (gambling). It is not illegal to take photos of cow manure, but it is illegal to "shoot craps" without a permit. I didn't mean to confuse anyone, but these terms are probably not familiar to some.
