This is my first experience with slide film. I'll be glad to hear

advices on how to improve this image and/or my portrait technique.

i like the color and the depth of field...but it kind of bugs me that her hands are cut off.

I absolutely love the picture! Its beautiful but I also wish we could see her hands!

I love this photo! How did you get the wonderful golden glow to it? Did you photograph it with filters or just use regular lighting in the house. This is a very beautiful photo that makes me feel good to look at it. Great Job! Lorraine Foster

Thanks. It's with regular indoor lighting. With f1.4 (50mm), ~1/30. Velvia. I wish I had wider lens that time - to have her hands in frame, and probably faster film.

 

I just love the feeling of the image, almost like a painting. It reminded me a lot of the photography in Barry Lyndon, which is about as high a compliment as I can pay.
