I've got very different ratings for this picture without explanations.

Some people seems to love this picture, some other just thing it a

***.

(notes between 1 and 8)

Could you please give me your advice about this picture taken an 8 of

december during a religious procession. Pilgrims just carryied torch,

I focused and set the light on the first one, and shout.

I don't understand the reject of this picture, specially on the

technical rating.

Do not care much about ratings, I had the same reaction as you when I started being rated. People see pictures in different ways. Visit the folders, look at their pictures, and you will have some clues about why they rated you, good or bad. If my pictures are rated low by someone with an uninteresting folder, I ignore. If it´s a good folder, I think about it. Personally, I prefer comments stating what´s wrong.

This image doesn't convey a religious processional for me in any way. It's just some flames...no other info to clue me in and the composition isn't interesting enough to hold my attention either. How about showing more of the event and the way the flames reflect against the people or something?

Sorry, but this means no more to me. For the same reasons. I agree with the previous comment and will add that it seems also blurred... and isn't really special with composition...

You've much better pictures in your portfolio (see this other one, ...) so don't worry about this one. C'est pas grave!

Or decide to make it a hit, by pushing red, over-saturating color, tight croping and calling it "The dancing devil"...

I like your devil Raoul :-)

But the idea on this picture was just to have some abstract fire. My mistake is may be to explain too much this picture.

I should change the title :-)

i agree, that it could be also something different - without the title it is hard to get the story behind, but any way, i like the colours against the black
