stanislas_mourdon 0 Posted December 26, 2001 I've got very different ratings for this picture without explanations. Some people seems to love this picture, some other just thing it a ***. (notes between 1 and 8) Could you please give me your advice about this picture taken an 8 of december during a religious procession. Pilgrims just carryied torch, I focused and set the light on the first one, and shout. I don't understand the reject of this picture, specially on the technical rating. Stan Link to comment
mauriciooperti 0 Posted December 27, 2001 Do not care much about ratings, I had the same reaction as you when I started being rated. People see pictures in different ways. Visit the folders, look at their pictures, and you will have some clues about why they rated you, good or bad. If my pictures are rated low by someone with an uninteresting folder, I ignore. If it´s a good folder, I think about it. Personally, I prefer comments stating what´s wrong. Link to comment
jillmyers 0 Posted December 27, 2001 This image doesn't convey a religious processional for me in any way. It's just some flames...no other info to clue me in and the composition isn't interesting enough to hold my attention either. How about showing more of the event and the way the flames reflect against the people or something? Link to comment
raoul.jasselette 1 Posted December 28, 2001 Sorry, but this means no more to me. For the same reasons. I agree with the previous comment and will add that it seems also blurred... and isn't really special with composition...You've much better pictures in your portfolio (see this other one, ...) so don't worry about this one. C'est pas grave!Or decide to make it a hit, by pushing red, over-saturating color, tight croping and calling it "The dancing devil"...Raoul Link to comment
stanislas_mourdon 0 Posted December 28, 2001 I like your devil Raoul :-) But the idea on this picture was just to have some abstract fire. My mistake is may be to explain too much this picture. I should change the title :-) Stan Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 13, 2002 i agree, that it could be also something different - without the title it is hard to get the story behind, but any way, i like the colours against the black Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted June 22, 2002 As color and form, it speaks for itself. There is no need to try to figure it out. I rather like it myself. Link to comment
