paul moshay 0 Posted October 18, 2004 What are you showing us, is it only sexploitation? Why would anyone be nude in such a dangerous place, it doesn't make any sense. At least she has saftey glasses on. Link to comment
peterbilitch 0 Posted October 18, 2004 I would imagine that the very point here, is to contrast the expected scenario. That is assuming of course, that one is allowed to have a sense of humour with their photography... Peter p.s. Though you do make very important point about the use of safety glasses ;) Link to comment
johannes_felten 0 Posted October 27, 2004 It wasn't, and if you consider the setting you may realize that there was no need to add a flame artificially. I realize, however, that although we've seen many photos that combine BW with colour, our basic conception perceives a photo to be either one, or the other, but not together. So, having a BW photo with some parts added in colour, perhaps makes those parts appear alien. Overall, I'm not too fond of BW and colour combinations, but sometimes they can create a nice effect if they highlight central elements of the image. In this workshop the fire is a central element and keeping the flame in colour underlines that. This also takes the emphasis away from the nudity. The juxtaposition of nudity with the harsh environment of metal and fire highlights the delicateness of the female body, and it simply adds a humorous touch to the scene. Link to comment
stephen_miller5 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I've done this type of work and all I can think about from this photo is the pain she will have from the metal flakes flying. Ouch!!! Link to comment
d2f 0 Posted October 31, 2004 You have to ask yourself one question, is this the best I can do? Nudes are quickly becoming null and void, lacking orignality and imagination. Push yourself to break the mold and come up with something original. Link to comment
revolver 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Don, as some one new to photography and a long time observer of pornography I say that nude photography is much more erotic and exciting than porno. most everything I have seen on this site is tasteful, ellegant and amazing. nude photography is very interesting on many levels to me Link to comment
