tonys 0 Posted September 5, 2001 How lucky you are that you do not have to see the view from your living room through an image compressor. The picture is surely much better in print. Anton Dan Link to comment
daf 0 Posted September 6, 2001 I must have about a dozen shots from this view by now, I'll scan the better ones in. It's hard to resist a sunset. Any way I could have made this one better ?This was probably taken at about 28mm. Have a lens up to 300m, but I like including a fair bit of skyline. Link to comment
thomasvoss 0 Posted September 6, 2001 I like the colors, but I believe you need more interesting silhuettes than these. I think I have discovered 2 towers (church) approx. in the middle of the picture. Either try to isolate these with you zoom or move closer. What do you think? Thomas. Link to comment
daf 0 Posted September 6, 2001 I do isolate those towers at times as in : http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=347039 It just limits the amount of colours I can see, so sometimes take the wide angle version. Rotterdam isn't like other Dutch towns - it's relatively modern as it was flatenned in 1940. I'm going to go back to the original scans tonight + try to save as jpg with less compression. Taa for the comments. Link to comment
