naki 0 Posted September 8, 2001 Please tell me how do you feel about this image... This is one of seven flower image from my portfolio folder. Images are printed in color darkroom by myself. These images were exhibited at De Young Fine Art Museum of San Francisco in 2000 as my solo exhibition 'Abstract Portrait Series'... I will show another series 'Abstract Portrait of Architecture' as soon as I get feedback about these images... If you want to see more, please visit http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=146062 I just want to share my expression with you... Thanks, NAKI Link to comment
joey_roth 0 Posted September 8, 2001 The hardness of this picture is what makes it work. People usually associate flowers with softness, but these petals look like stone. A great contrast. Link to comment
kevin_newman 0 Posted September 9, 2001 It looks more like one of my wife's "Hens and Chicks" plants. Its actually a succulent, related to a cactus, more or less. But enough of the botany lesson. I like it. Its not original by any stretch of the imagination, but the texture is appealing. Link to comment
javier_grinfeld 0 Posted July 7, 2002 IMHO the DOF is too shallow in this photo causing a harsh blurring of the big flower. Perhaps allowing a "softer" blurring could be more pleasant. Link to comment
miguelangelhoyas 0 Posted July 8, 2002 Great image! The light and the texture, soft and hard at once. Great for a print on the wall... Link to comment
