The violet hue in the photo was NOT the work of a filter. This was the natural color of the Arizona lightning. The saturation of the Velvia film really brings it out. For others doing lightning photos with slow speed (50) film, I used f/3.5 (or the widest your lense allows) set focas for infinity, and bulb the shutter open. This was approx 30 to 45 seconds. Note my extremely unsafe position under the power lines. Don't try this at home kids! I appreciate any comments.
