Sunset seen from Carmel Mountain.

Don't often see Sunset + blue sky in the same picture. Quit nice.

I am trying to get used to my new digital camera. I'd like to know your opinion about

this picture, which is among the first, I took with this camera. Digital

postprocessing is fascinating. One can get unexpected results.

This is a nice pic, almost as if I'm there. I love sky pics and this is a great example.

This is a spectacular sunset, especially the blue as the previous poster noted. My only critique is the bottom of the photo yields no detail. This is by far the best of the photos you've posted!

I do not consider this shot my best one, as one member suggested. I'd rather call it the most popular one. Sunsets are spectacular.

This is nice. Would it have helped a little bit to crop out some of the bottom. Such a large dark area takes away from the photo a little bit, IMHO.

I tend to agree with Pauls comment that cropping out a little of the foreground may enhance the image. That being said, what makes this a truly wonderful shot is the spectrum of colors that are not typically present in sunset shotsblue, pink, and a magnificent yellow. Super!

Wonderful sky. Without the bottom part: 8/8, with: 5/4. Please crop it. ;o)

You'll find the cropped version in my SUNSETS AND MOONLIGHT folder. It sits there for a while and nobody takes notice.

 

By the way, in the original photo, the lower part is not that dark. You can even see a glimpse of green in the bushes. It's the compression process that modifies the colors.

 

Without the foreground mountain this would be better.

The cropped version of this shot is in this folder for a long time but nobody is looking at it.

Wonderful image ! foreground is useful to give depht. Well done !
