pphaneuf 0 Posted September 4, 2001 Maybe a landscape orientation, taking some of the water, would have been better. Or even medium format 6x6, but that's another story! Quote Link to comment
gauthier 0 Posted October 11, 2001 This is actually a candid shot of a friend who was lost in her thoughts looking at the running water. I find the composition quite nice, but I'd like to hear your comments. Another point: do you think that seeing the eyes of the model is important in that kind of moody portrait? Quote Link to comment
frankl 6 Posted October 11, 2001 I would say the composition is good, but the contrast levels in the picture seem off, adjusting this perhaps to bring detail out in the hair might give you the results you wanted. Quote Link to comment
critter 0 Posted October 12, 2001 The composition is nice (actually a new framing for the seated posture). The only thing that bothers me is her head. It's too dark and not evocative of the contemplative mood. I don't think eyes are necessary, but there needs to be some definitive gesture that seperates it from merely slouching woman. I hope that helps. P.S. - i love the angled rock/leg Quote Link to comment
quentin 0 Posted October 13, 2001 I don't think we need to see the model's eyes everytime. And this pose works well for me, very nicely balanced in the frame. I find the shot too dark. Her hair is a black blob -- can you manipulate this for less contrast? Very nice pose. Quote Link to comment
marielou_dhumez 0 Posted October 13, 2001 Hi Philippe ! Quote Link to comment
stephen_shewey 0 Posted December 13, 2001 Great composition, beautiful tones, very moody -- love it! Quote Link to comment
eugbro 2 Posted January 4, 2002 Excellent subject and pose. I think the environment should be stark but perhaps a little more panoramic. Still, my favoite portrait in this folder. Quote Link to comment
