There is a break in the water flow and also there are couple of distractions(brown grass,rocks) that do not add to the serene effect of smoothly flowing water.

I like it because it looks real.  This kind of setting changes very rapidly because of the enormous run-off that is possible in heavy rains, combined with the steepness of the hillside.
