roger_wesson 0 Posted August 31, 2001 This is probably my favourite shot from my own work, but I think my memory of the occasion may be affecting my objectivity. I think the exposure is good, I'm pleased about the colour in the sky, and the reflections in the water, but could a dispassionate observer tell me if the composition's OK? Or if the whole thing is just average? Many thanks, Link to comment
philip_harle1 0 Posted August 31, 2001 Been there, taken similar photos... and mine weren't as good! Night shots are becoming something of a speciality of mine, and you have to pick exactly the right time (sunset detracts from the lights in the skyline, black sky is too boring) which you seem to have done. Like it a lot. Check out my portfolio and www.virtualtraveller.org for some of my efforts! Link to comment
vahe_peroomian 0 Posted August 31, 2001 Two things make this photo great: One is the sharpness of the foreground, and the other is the fact that the sky has detail and (as Philip noted) is not all black. Great job! Link to comment
