This is a series shot from my first attempts at "Ken Art." If you

check in my porfolio I uploaded a fairly successful photograph of a

single person - named Ken - lying down on this exact floor. So after

that shot, a couple of weeks later I went back to the same venue and

tried out a different approach - using more than one person this

time. I hope you like this.

And comments or feedback would be mostly appreciated! Thankyou very

much.

Yes! I do like the angle. However 2 things stand out in this. I feel the guy sitting should be more cetral to the gap. Also the sand coloured stone in the top right is a touch distracting. It is a good image and there is nothing wrong with following on with a winning formula.

Thankyou for your comments! I agree with the distraction of the top right sand coloured tile.. it was quite hard avoiding that unless I cropped it out. However if I cropped it out, I would get more of a square image - and I dont like that idea. Perhaps your thinking I could have moved my camera slightly to the left to avoid that yellow tile, but that proved impossible as the were props/tables/chairs, etc in the way on the other side. It proved difficult keeping certain aspects of the image, obtaining a dramatic angle, keeping everything right in the frame, and not adding anything in the way - such as the chairs and tables.

Having liked the first one, I am interested in the series. I like the idea of using more people, and am particularly attracted by their location. I think I do not like the one sitting though, it's a bit unrelated to those lying. As for the composition, there is something in the angle of the first image which was more appealing. I think there is a too extreme effect, here, of a wide angle with people a bit falling-off the scene. Which focal lenght did you use (35mm equivalent) in the two cases?

It feels like they're on a spinning wheel that is slowly tipping over... it feels precarious... I love it!
