Panorama Test
This is my first attempt at assembling a digital panorama. Slight haze and mid day light resulted in few worthwhile photo opportunities. I hated to waste my time in this beautiful location, so I pulled out my digital point & shoot and decided to try to do a bit of testing.I used 7 separate images and stitched them together with Panotools and the PTGui front end. The resulting image is approximately 7350x1750 and prints out surprisingly sharp on an Epson 1270 on Panoramic paper. The scene and lighting are obviously less than spectacular, but I was surprised at how well the image assembled and how much more interesting the panorama is than any of the individual photos I took that day. From a technical testing perspective, I'm pleased, and I intend to try to use this technique again.
