Sun Notch, Crater Lake

Sun rise over a dip in the wall around Crater Lake. The dip was

called the Sun Notch. so naturally a sunrise that happen to occur

there deserves at least one picture attempt.

 

 

This photo was shot straight into the sun, using D70 and 24-120 VR.

I shot this to test the exposure latitude of D70 at ISO200 setting.

Nice effect. The rays pouring into the lake from the overexposed area where the sun is make this great. I don't think the bright sun hurts this one at all.
