hugo drax 0 Posted September 10, 2004 Large Wall of fire blocks access to the rear of a new development being built making firefighting very difficult. Nature vs Man/Machine. Why did this occur was simple, a new development was being built on native forests leaving hundreds of acres of dry kindling surrounded by new homes being constructed, between the drought, Offroaders,Construction and other human traffic a collision course toward disaster was inevetible. The fire was extinguished after several days of hard work and work eventually moved on. Lesson #1 from this shoot, always bring your camera at all times, I missed the most dramatic events due to my stupidity but hopefully this is good enough :) Link to comment
melissa_monaco 0 Posted September 10, 2004 A beautiful journalistic picture (the two doesn't necessarily comes togeter). Really erie too with the subjects bathed in that orange glow. I love the way it shows how tiny they are compared to the wrath of Nature. Link to comment
matt_kime 0 Posted September 11, 2004 I really like this photo. While its not a result of a technical virtuoso, it is a well done image with an interesting subject matter. the most important part of photography is being there. Link to comment
