Encounter in foggy trail

This is a great shot. If you look at the deer long enough, you cannot work out which way it is facing. I am curious to know, what happened after the encounter.

Nicely done, moody shot. IMO, a less heavy presentation with more detail in the foreground grasses adds interest.

Dave, as you can see from the pose, the buck was pretty scared, after few minutes of staring at me, it took off. And that was it.

The shadow details are visible to my satisfaction in my LCD monior. Yet, these images look too dark -hence shadow detail completely washed out- if viewed on some CRT monitors. Hope your monitor is a good match to mine. (I do not have a calibrated monitor.)

Beautiful

Dark tones of the tree and the deer really complement each other brilliantly. Also inclination of the tree to the left with a slight curvature further enhances the composition accentuating the model (the deer)
