Thanks for the comments! I was very happy with this one - he's in a light beam from a window, and I was astonished that the floor blacked out so completely. But the 24mm I picked up last spring is rapidly becoming a favorite because of the perspective - this would have been a much less interesting shot with a 50mm.

Good shot. Not much can be better. The only thing that could be changed is that it might need more DOP. Other than that its a great shot, I bet his parents would love it.

 

Of the topic. I've taken a couple of shots like this. And I got a real interesting effect by tilting the platform that my photo paper is on so that perspective distortion is created. (Carefull with the enlargers focus though it gets kinda crazy) The same effect (and better too) can be achieved with a Tilt/shift lens if you got the cash to pay for one. I'm not saying that this picture needs it, because this is a great shot. But its something kinda related.
