While I like the overall composition and lighting in this, I find it a little too grainy. Since this is a restoration, that's probably why.

Cropping away the blue sky would not only get rid of most of the visible grain, but also greatly improve the drama of a stormy Scottish day. But it also really needs more detail on the hills, esp. the ruin. Not too much, though.

I like the blue sky, indeed... like stressing that there's a life before and after the storm... and makes it different from what one would expect for a castle-against-storm cliche... or not?

heading towards dream with a touch of German Expressionism - or at least how I remember some 19th century paintings.....in short, memorable image.
