digital alterations "Cosmic Journey (Revised)" (Montage:2001)

The bluish globular cluster component of the image was scanned in from a photo from a NASA calendar. An egg which had been doused with a flammable liquidand then suspended over a candle flame was photographed to create the alien's enclosure. The alien's face is derived from an image of a mannequin head that had been used by a shop to display wigs. The image of a planet in the lower part of the image was derived from one of my Ice Compositions: "Glacial Fantasy", andhence this image could be considered a companion to the image "Glacial Fantasy"
