jennifercatron 9 Posted August 22, 2004 Excellent use of this technique, although I think I would add more contrast into the b/w portion. The dullness of the gray doesn't offset the colors enough imo. Composition is excellent. Nice job. Link to comment
heather_harvey 0 Posted August 22, 2004 Tim... I couldn't even begin to guess what that is, but the photograph is great! I like the way you brought the insect out in color... always wanted to learn how to do that... maybe some day. Is that done in Photoshop? Link to comment
timnichols 0 Posted August 22, 2004 I've been enjoying your photos! Yes. I used the desaturation tool in a photoshop-like program. I need to get photoshop so I can learn from specific advice given on here, but this program seems to have the same tools. Thanks for commenting. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 22, 2004 composition is good-with the placement of your bug in the bottom corner with the plant stems going up into the frame. now, for the bug itself. Beetle of some sort. How about an asparagus beetle common to the virginia area. The markings are throwing me and I cant find my insect field guide. Since you didnt 'say' a correct identification of the bug I still expect you to visit my stuff. Knicki Link to comment
