Hate to say this Miguel, but when you start selling your work, especially with a professional web site which you link with PN, you are no longer an amateur. Please don't bill yourself as such. Your work is excellent but please be honest. You may have a day job but when you use professional equipment and sell you work you have crossed the line and are no longer an amateur. Please be honest...

Thank you David for your comment. The reason I wrote amateur is because I havent sold any photos jet.But I am changing my web bio to freelance because I have some photos printed in books/calendars with no profit at all.I hope someday I could get some profit from my photos.Best wishes.Miguel

Sorry to tell you, but a photographer is not rated a pro until he/she is getting at least 80% of their income from photography, I have been shooting for 20 years, have done numerous weddings, portfolio's etc and I still would not be rated as a pro

To Rakesh,

I am not rating this picture, but I wanted to respond to your comment. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a fine image, but I can understand someone else being jaded. This site is FULL of images just like this one, of the bird snatching the fish from the water. In fact, the same photographer had a similar image win photo of the week just three weeks or so ago. So, WHY would someone rate this particular image a 7 on originality? How can it be perfect if it is just a carbon copy of the other one? Aethetics, no doubt a 7 for sharpness, lighting, and composition. But an original IDEA? You see the problem? The two concepts are totally different.
