the same Cuban fisherman as the other shot just recently submitted

to PN - I think there is something in his eyes which tells about his

life.. what do you think? he had been smoking (cigar of course ;-)

for some 70 years...

Fantastic. Good crop, wonderful detail..incredible shot. I only wish I could take portraits like this. Eyes seem a little over-sharpened?

I like the eyes. Maybe a little too sharpened but it appears fine to me. They (eyes) certainly have stories to tell I'm sure. I like this very much! Great job! 7/6

A very effective framing and interesting portrait. I would prefer a milder interpretation with more subtle contrast and edge enhancements. Closer to what I bielieve the reality was, and yet a very strong image. But surely an invitation to make portraits. Congrats. Bertrand

Ineresting face. I'll have to say that the crop near the eye, the square that isn't really a square and the big white area are imo not the best choices in terms of aesthetics, but it's still nice and impactful, thanks mostly to the man's features and expression. Regards.

Absolutely brilliant street portrait. Amazing detail, I like the off centre composition, really love this one - in fact one of the best portraits on photo.net - I think you are very talented.

I really like this subject for a portrait and the way you've captured him. Nicely done.

I do find the crop a little awkward. While some of his face is cropped, there's a great deal of white on the right with competes for attention while gazing at the the subject's face. The eye has a tendency to go to the brightest part. Still a 6 for the portrait.
