folder are part of an ongoing study of comparitive world religions.

There are some great textures in there. The shot would have perhaps been improved by moving in close and creating a total abstract of the texts.

Moving closer was not an option at the time this photo was made as the texts are stored 18-20 feet high and above. This shot was made with a zoom lens at 300mm, hand held in a dimly lit temple leaning against a column for support.

I will be trying to gain close up access to this collection during the winter as part of an ongoing essay on religion in America.
