Nice~ How did you get the details in the shaded area (and it's not consrasty for a digital camera)? It's awesome.

Hi Kay C, glad you like it. It was a great day and the D70 did a great job. I checked the results in the TFT screen and made sure that the exposure is correct.

Alec, no, I don't think so :) I see crepuscular rays coming out of the cloud above the tree at about 45 deg to the left. I was surprised to see them considering the strong light that fills the scene elsewhere. Hope I didn't just start seeing things...

Well Didi, I darken the image and the sun's ray is shining through the clouds so it may have caused the light rays to slightly appear. I think it's cool! The original image is not so obvious.

Alec, thank you for the answer! I wonder how it would look if there were a little more spaces around the building (and a little softer image). But it's just a thought from a novice hobbiest. Great camera, great location, and great work.

This is a good one, Alec. I don't see as much detail on my office computer - it looks much better on my home computer. Looks like you opened up the shadows in Photoshop?

Alec, opened up shadow, accentuated sun rays, home or office screen, regardless of the route taken to reach this, it's all good! Okay Bob, where's your version of this? I'll bet it'll be a good one too, ableit different. ^_^

Hello Wilson,

I didn't take a shot of the same house, but here's a different one.

Wilson, yes we had a fabulous time, as the weather was great (albeit a little hot) and we got an awful lot of good pictures without having to spend too much time and money. We may invade your neck of the woods the next time - the Pacific NorthWest!
