davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 I guess you like it or hate it. However, emptying the cans was fun! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 A fun project with beer cans. Would appreciate feedback! Link to comment
rochelle_ballard 0 Posted August 8, 2004 This is a very interesting idea and it is well-executed...however, maybe it is so original that extreme ratings should be expected! Still, this photo is underrated. I really like the way the ice is captured ... it conveys a feeling of vigour. Cheers. P.S. I appreciate that you have uploaded the other three photos of the series. Pity no one has commented on them yet. I personally like 'Iced Australian' the most! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 Rochelle, You are kind. Sometimes you are brutally honest. However, feedback is what I ask for and feedback is what you give me. I am glad you like the 'Australian.' Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 This was an experiment. I wasn't sure how it would go down. Knowing you like it makes the exercise worth while. Thanks! Link to comment
pitman 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Very Original!! Very Cool!! ... cough :) Dont understand the low ratings here tho. This ratings business sux. :/ Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 Low ratings are a part of this. Sure! I don't like them unless they can be justified but in the end it is the comments from those you respect that matter. Thanks for stopping by! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted August 8, 2004 David: I will not get into the ratings issues. It is another innovative image with the McCrakken feel to it. All in all it is a great job and I will not mention black and white or women. -Cheers, Owen Link to comment
advancedphoto 0 Posted August 8, 2004 I still don't care for beer from cans! However, I love the concept, execution and photos. 7/7:-) I may have to trade for some prints. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 Just an experiment Owen. Women are more fun to photograph in colour OR b & w. Beer cans are more obliging........ unless your name is Owen. Thanks. No more cans for a while. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 8, 2004 Brent, Each to their own. I have an idea though. If you want to photograph cans, I will empty them for you and then you can photograph them. Just a thought! Thanks for looking. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 9, 2004 Owen, yes, are women more fun in color or bw? Beer well can be fun in a can or in a bottle. I like your shots here. gives me an idea on where to put my sunnies next. Knicki Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted August 9, 2004 I have to agree with owen, women are more fun... But I guess it will be difficult to freeze them up like that (although, in some situations... hm) :-)'frozen assets' and 'same but diffrent' are my favorites! Link to comment
dave_nitsche 0 Posted August 9, 2004 Interesting idea for a series. Very nicely done. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 9, 2004 I suppose the ultimate would be to photograph girls and beer at the same time..... Well! Maybe not. Come to think of it I have done that already but it wasn't with a naked girl! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 9, 2004 This was quite a simple exercise really. Looking at your work is drving me to do something more complicated. If I can get results half as good as yours I will be happy. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Guess we're not gonna have hangovers in the morning huh, David?! I like the Aussie version the best. What a wonderful idea! You should redo the Heiny, a Sapporo, and maybe a Bud in the similar state as the Fosters. How cool! ^_^ Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 10, 2004 Wilson, Thanks as always. These photos are really a hit or a miss as I can't control the way the ice behaves. At the end of the day it was an experiment with mixed results..... a bit like life itself. Thanks, for looking. Link to comment
brant-o- 0 Posted August 14, 2004 I like it a lot (although Iced Australian is my favorite of the series too). The frozen bubbles make it in my mind. Original idea and interesting composition. Link to comment
