Krister,

I've enjoyed all of your macro work, but this shot is superb. The detail is excellent (if a tadge ugly!!) 7/6. Pay no attention to the 1/1. I can't think why anyone would mark such a wonderful shot so low.

was gonna give 6/6 but that 1/1 irritated me.. How can anyone give such rating for an awesome image like this!

Krister, absolutely...incredibly...FRIGHTENING!

Krister, absolutely...incredibly...FANTASTIC!

How any lunatic could rate this 1/1, instead of 7/7? How did you do the lighting? Flash? Reflectors?

Rod Rumble: I use a single Sigma DG 500 flash for ligth and in this case the fly was sitting on a wet leaf and this worked as a reflector for the flash as well. When or if I get enough money I will by a macro-flash :(

Hi Krister. See you use a similar setup as mine. My macro's are not this upclose but I think you have infected me with these supermacro's. I'd like to hear a bit more from you how this came about.

I think they meant 11 (eleven). This anonymous rating isn't all it's cracked up to be. I can see some fellow photogs lighting torches in the distance on their way to the castle of this individual...Hey, even if you don't like bugs, this is incredible photography. My wife shoots a lot of the critters in the back yard and often leaves me with my "wow" button running. She just saw this and did a triple take. Her question is on the lens. Definately 7/7

Hi there, was wondering just how far away from the subject you were as the lens is only a 65mm? and also what magnification was it taken at?

I think the 1/1 has given the fly sadness - there is a tear in the eye!

This HAS to be a 7/7 without ANY thought. The only possible reason for marking it down is due to the model having drool on its chin!

thanks for sharing.
