My first attempt at "fine art" photography, also trying Tri-X to get a

feel for the grain structure.

I know about the shadow on the right leg, I could improve the

lighting, but bear in mind that this was done in our bedroom with our

two small halogen bedside lamps for sole lighting!

It feels a bit weird to pick the "Fine Art" category at this point in

my photographer career... :-)

Hi Pierre,

Pretty good for your first attempt. Just a couple of points to keep an eye out for. It is difficult when setting up for the shot but you need to look out for the shadows. There is a shadow running down her right leg. Also the left leg is blown out a little as well. the nude is a very difficult subject to master but you are not far from it. Just take your time when shooting and watch the lighting.

I had noticed the right leg shadow and the rather blown-out left leg before uploading it, but thought it was still rather nice for a first try! :-)

Please also take into consideration that this is no studio backdrop or studio lighting: this is our bedroom, with $15 bedside halogen lamps as "hot lighting"!

I did try to get sophisticated in another shot by bouncing one of them on the close wall, but that didn't pan out too well (not powerful enough).
