ducksquat 1 Posted July 28, 2004 Interesting ghosting effect but in my honest opinion, I think it's a bit overdone. I'd like to see it more subtle so that you really have to focus to see that something is in there such as a Bev Doolittle painting. Link to comment
freddie 0 Posted July 28, 2004 Took a while before I noticed all the faces. Very original. Link to comment
ted carter 0 Posted July 28, 2004 Thanks for the Comments, folks. Don, I have modified the photo slightly to reduce the amount that some of the faces stand out. I think this does help a bit. Link to comment
geri 0 Posted July 31, 2004 Wow. Wanna hear something funny? I was looking for the "digital alterations", and at first I only saw patches of vegetaion. When I made my way down to the very bottom, I said to myself, "Hey, looks like two eyes..." Then the child's face in the far left hit me, and suddenly it was as if something had been unlocked, and I was able to see into another world, and discover the phantoms that were willing to be seen. (Not that you're striving for this), but I wouldn't be surprised if I encountered this on a book cover one day. It's the type of image that induces fantastic imaginings, while also stunning the viewer with the creativity of its composer. I'd buy the book just for this cover! :P Link to comment
arctic monkey 0 Posted April 21, 2005 At first I was attracted to the green, then I wondered about the blurred areas and as soon as one came into focus they all popped out at me and I couldn't help but jump back with fright! I really enjoy the creativity of the manipulation but for some reason it just freaks me out. Perhaps that's a good thing for you, it's an image that really "jumps out" and that certainly leaves an impression upon the viewer...and the impression on this viewer spells freaky! Link to comment
ted carter 0 Posted April 21, 2005 Thanks for the comments, Jason! These are pictures of my daughter. She thinks it's cool, but my wife agrees with you; she says it's freaky! Link to comment
