matthewriggle 11 Posted July 27, 2004 A local to this small town told me about these cannons when I asked about where the good photos were. He explained that there were four of these at this memorial cemetery, and that the iron for them was manufactured right there in the town. Surrounding it are the headstones for Civil War soldiers burieds there. I saw an irony in the fact that this gun was there with them. A sort of cause and effect. It was a quite sobering experience. ozone42 1 Posted July 27, 2004 Nice idea. I'd like to see the opposite, with the focus on the canon and the graves out of depth/focus. Link to comment
learsi 0 Posted July 27, 2004 I dont know but for me the old cannon placed in the center, is very distracting. I would have put it down and opened trees in the background. Link to comment
petejr 0 Posted July 27, 2004 I agree with the odd placement of the canons at the cemetery. What could the planners been thinking? Certainly a thought provoking photograph. Link to comment
