Handheld, exposure unrecorded. This is a proof of a previously posted work. Processed through NeatImage. Edited and adjusted in Photoshop. I think this looks best when viewed LARGE.

A very beautifully constructed image with interesting colours that work really well together. Only thing I find mildly irritating is the black stalk and closed head of the unopened lily behind the pink flower. Oh for some shears. (just joshing)

Thanks Lou Ann! Yes, you may be seeing a few "previously posted" photographs from me. Regards.

Walter, this is gorgeous! Had the far petals been in focus, it would've been nice, but may be it wouldn't convey the image's depth as well. I'll take one as is. ^_^

Ian, thank you for your comment/rating. As a fellow 67 shooter, I admire your work tremendously and appreciate your interest in this photograph. The secondary stalk and bud, however, on my monitor (gamma 2.1) are not black but roughly the same color and tonal level as the main bloom's. So, don't you dare get those shears out!

I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone else who has visited here (except that damn amphibian). Regards.

Stunning photo. I'm a relative newcomer to the site and I'm looking forward to more of those deleted photos I've never seen. Your eye and technical prowess are very impressive. Apparently you've changed your mind and decided to say active on PN. Good!

Looks like I picked a good one to comment on... Gorgeous colors & composition (yes, "photo-envy"). Thank you for commenting on my shot... definitely appreciated!

I like the picture and the composition. The pads seem to suggest a spiral outward, or steps leading from the flower. The colors are dreamlike. The reflection of the sky washes the image nicely from top to bottom. The leaf patterns keep the whole composition lively.

Thanks Emad for the link. However, I think that I would prefer to handle the sales of my photography directly. This would allow me more control over the work. Regards.

I think this is the best Lilly photo I've ever seen. The color and sharpness set this apart. If I had a nit it would be the incomplete shadow of the flower on the water, but that is such a minor thing.

Finally found this. I remember seeing it a while ago and never rated it to keep it in my favorites.

This is just first class. Great image.

I think this is by far the best image in this folder of yours. Only one thing bothers me a little: there seem to be a magenta and blue cast over the entire image... Was that on purpose ? How would it look like if the cast was removed ? regards.

Thank you for the visit Marc. Yes this was intentional, or more correctly, a function of using Velvia 100F. I neglected to list that in the Tech Details but have since added that info. However, I had to shift the hue -10 degrees for the final Chromira print. That made it more blue. I also selectively equilibrated the very top pad's Levels with its neighbors, however, the DOF still falls off up there. I prefer that. I wasn't completely satisfied with the final Chromira print but it looked pretty good for an amatuer.
