kirigoi 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Hi everyone, this is the first photo of many from the streets of Birmingham in the UK. Any comments or ratings would be hugely appreciated. Cheers! Link to comment
david_besen 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Lovely composition, but all I can find myself focusing on is the blown-out sky. Link to comment
kirigoi 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Hmmm. That was intentional, and added in photoshop. I was hoping to create a "light at the end of the tunnel" towards which the lady on the left is striding to make a more dreamy, painted feel... We only get blue skies here once in a blue moon, so this, like most of my photos is from a dull, overcast sky (see attached, untouched original). Is the consensus that this hasn't worked? If so, are there any other ways of limiting the impact of the overcast sky? Personally I like the bloom effect, but it needs a big print to do it justice ;) Link to comment
nick_shuval_sergeev 0 Posted July 14, 2004 You photoshop version is better. IMHO ( in my mind), I have not any asosiation with light-in- the-end-of-tonnel. Good composition. I think, If you will make series of such streets, it will be exellent. Good luck. Link to comment
