anand_vaddiraju1 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Desert rock in the Arches National Park, UT. Shot two days after full moon. Comments appreciated. Only slight adjustments to saturation made in Photoshop. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Very nice colors. The stars are a real plus. I'll bet a few more stars were visible on the original. Link to comment
anand_vaddiraju1 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Thanks for your comments Erik. There are actually quite a few stars in this as well - it's the size of the image that hides them. You only gotta look close enough :) The larger version shows a lot more. Link to comment
gone nomad 0 Posted July 18, 2004 This appears to have been a night exposure. Furthermore, I realize that a longer exposure would have resulted in star trails; however, I feel that this is a bit to dark. Link to comment
anand_vaddiraju1 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks for your comments Dr. Phil - they are well taken. This exposure was the maximum I could get on the [digital] G3 (15"/F2.0 in ISO 400 mode) I had at that time. I was cursing myself all the time for not taking the film SLR along. I was not planning on this night outing beforehand. It was after I got there that I realized it was a beautiful night (a couple days after full moon). Oh well... At this point however, I guess my best alternative is PS. So here's a "brighter" version. Comments anyone, on which one you like better? Link to comment
