chris_gray4 0 Posted July 11, 2004 I'm seeking your advice on the graphic content of this image. Try not to see this as "just another butterfly/insect" shot. What works and doesn't work when stacked against the elements of graphic design? Rate as low as you want, but your shared wisdom is what keeps this amateur going. Link to comment
tiggerstales 0 Posted July 11, 2004 Very nice image...lovely color, detail and focus. The crop at the top is a little tight for my taste. I think I would prefer less at the bottom and more space above the butterfly. Link to comment
scooter400 0 Posted July 11, 2004 crop a little off the bottom but well done over all Link to comment
chris_gray4 0 Posted July 11, 2004 Let's see if I get what you mean - more space at the top might give the main subject "a place to go." But this image does the reverse - the main subject seems stuffed into the upper portion while the eye wanders around in the rest of the shot? Link to comment
Jenifer Selwa Photography 0 Posted July 11, 2004 Lovely details and great color. I would like to suggest maybe cropping this to a square composition and removing some of the dead space from the bottom of the image to emphasize the butterfly. Link to comment
chris_gray4 0 Posted July 11, 2004 I see now what you mean! There's too much information and it clutters the main subject! Cropping the image now, plus allowing more space in the future for a main subject to 'move,' will create a better graphic design that pleases the eye. I'm thankful for your time and help ~ Keep Going! Link to comment
