Your photography is terrible!

JUST KIDDING!

It's always nice to see your photographs, Mauricio. I hope everything is going well with you and your family. I don't post much on photo.net these days but I just opened a rare thread and saw your name. I've been almost afraid to post anything because it seems as if all too often, no matter what one posts, it becomes a digital vs. film war. On the other hand, I guess it's time that I learn something about digital myself so I may have some really dumb questions to post on that subject.

Your photograph is beautiful! I love how your depth-of field focuses on the old man and how his deep skin tones also draw the eye right into the picture. The photograph has almost three-dimensional depth. This is one picture where putting the main subject right in the center really works. Beautifully done! Keep up the great work!

excellent capture, I wish I could see the face of the person to his left (our right) would have made a noce line with the three faces, but we can't always get what we want.

Well done.

Hi Tom! It's always a pleasure for me to hear news from you. You made me jump from my chair with the first part of your comment- I thought: "this is war"! but then I saw your name and everything changed. Even if you would not have liked the photo, your back up experience would be really appreciated. And yes, the ambient here at photo.net is a little bit tense, yes. But it is a matter of move on. Thanks for watching and hope to see some "digital work" from you. I know I will like it!

I like this composition - the face in the middle is somewhat dark so you have to look a little longer to see all the details, which works well. I love the sunglasses he's wearing - it adds amusement to a somewhat serious subject matter.
