threeleaf 0 Posted July 7, 2004 This was a shot I took coming out of a Barnes n Noble bookstore. There was a light on the exterior wall and I asked the kids to stand under it. This is a portrait experiment using available light. Comments and ratings welcome - Thanks in advance for taking the time. Link to comment
kfir_marshak 0 Posted July 7, 2004 I would use a reflector to make it some more interesting.5-5. Link to comment
arjen van de merwe 0 Posted July 7, 2004 the contrast is extreme. So the girls forehead is overexposed, and the boy is underexposed. If you want flat black areas in a photo it is important to make sure that the shapes that are decernable are strong graphically and are legible. Link to comment
codepic 0 Posted July 7, 2004 Somewhat it seems to bother me how the woman is looking at the camera but I still cannot see the eyes. It's interesting how the man is silently smaller in the background while the woman is dominating the image. Overall, I like this photo. Link to comment
threeleaf 0 Posted July 7, 2004 Thanks all for the direction and comments - regarding lighting - this was an 'available lighting' experiment - so no reflectors, etc. Link to comment
