tim_traynor1 0 Posted August 7, 2001 I used a 80-200mm f2.8 lens set at 200mm with extension tube, with no editing or cropping. I used a CP990 to digitze the slide, which left some reflection artifacts. This is my first post, please leave me any comments you might have... Link to comment

discus 0 Posted August 7, 2001 Impressive! Your use of flash (?) has frozen a pose and detail of the bird while still giving the sense of motion from the longer part of the exposure without flash. Well done - a nice picture! Makes me want to go and buy a nice flash and not eat for the next coupla months =) Link to comment
bryan_clapper 0 Posted August 9, 2001 I really like this photo - great ability to capture a moment, combined with textbook use of slow-sync flash. Only thing I can think of to change is beyond the photographer's control: it may be a stronger image if the hummingbird were in a more streamlined position, so that the wing shapes don't look quite so awkward. But alas, that's really out of your control. Link to comment
