dont put the main subject in the middle of the frame anywhere but not in the center.thanx.

Is the subject in the middle of the frame? Look at the boy's eyes. Are they in the middle? Only his left eye is.

 

I take your point, but why does everything need to be always off-center? Says who? I have seen plenty of those portraits where the subject is at the extreme right or left in the frame and even though it doesn't work, it is seen by many as "original". Original? What's so original about placing something in the corner? There isn't much room for originality there. I call it pretentious.

 

One should find other aspects to make a photo original, off-center subjects are not necessarily one of them.

I agree--my best portrait ever is dead center. Cropping to place the little fellow off center doesn't change the warmness, expression, or mood.

 

This is about capturing a moment with a twinkle in the eye. Forget the ratings on this one--it's a fine portrait. Certainly worthy of hanging on the wall.
