Hi, I captured this image at the crowded collection of bustling

fruitstands at Haymarket in downtown Boston. I watched this guy for

most of the day because of the enthusiasm with which he was trying

to sell his items. however, at the end of a long, hot, and humid

day he just abruptly stopped selling and collapsed down in the

position you see. i thought this image was really emblematic of how

hard the fruitstand people work and i was lucky to capture this

brief moment. please let me know what you think...i'm new to the

street scene/portrait game...thanks!

Well, if this is any indication, I think you have a talent for this sort of thing. I wondered about a different crop however.

hi David,

thanks for your kind words and insightful suggestion...i really like the cropping you suggested; it makes the photograph seem more personal. this type of interaction is why i love photo.net.

Jeff, I agree the crop does add to this picture, but still a good capture in the first place. Never be worried about playing with different crops once you have the capture.

very fine catch of this man sagging after hard work on a hot, humid day....what it seems like to me is that it shows your patience to wait around and get the shot....which must be an essential part of street shooting. Must confess it is not a genre I am familiar with....I am patience-challenged kind of guy. Regards, Bill
