Yang, although this photo is not perfect it really catches one's eye. I like how the trees stand out and how the water sparkles. I would have liked to see the dark area behind the trees with a little more detail, although if you could see more detail in the background the trees may not have stood out the way they do.

Overall a very nice shot that is pleasing to the eye. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your comments, Rick!

I can understand your desire to see some details in the background. It would have given this picture some more depth, but, as you already mentioned, the contrast of the trees would have reduced.

The fact is, I remember I did see such a strong contrast with my eyes then, and this scene attracted me so much that I set up my tele lens and shot ...

I tried both with normal angle lens and tele lens to shoot this scene

which attracted me so much. Later I found I liked this one better.

Comments and ratings are appreciated. Thanks!

This photograph really caught my eye. There is so much dark space that at first I'm inclined to think that it is a problem, but the way the edges of the trees light up and show color makes it all very compelling. The intense dark spaces becomes a very powerful part of the composition with all the contrast. I think it's great. How far did you underexpose to get the shot?

Thanks for your nice comment, Noel!

I think I used the middle weighted integral metering on my camera. Since it's not dark in the middle, I guess I might have only used -1/3 stop as usual.

Nice and unusual landscape ,Yang. The dark space contributes greatly to the colour contrast (Noel is right).

You caught that beautiful place in the "tunnel" of light made by the surrounding mountains. The light, making

the place friendly for the small human beings strolling around, incorporates also the viewer in the scene.Blago
