peter_langfelder 3 Posted August 5, 2001 Nice photo! I like the composition, especially the relative size of the stones and trees. The colors are surreal, though - did you use a filter? Quote Link to comment
gerry chaney 0 Posted August 5, 2001 Thanks. I used a cokin graduated tobacco filter to darken the sky. The other colours seemed to have changed because of a long exposure (approx 10 secs). Quote Link to comment
gerry chaney 0 Posted August 6, 2001 A graduated tobacco filter was used to darken the sky. Exposure = f16 - 10 seconds (approx) Quote Link to comment
james___ 0 Posted August 7, 2001 The left side of the image bothers me. It seems to be competing with the rest of the image. Both tree tops are the same height and the two dominate rocks are the same size. The shadows on the left are completely empty and the bottom left is just a void. Try a crop from the edge of the large rock on the left. Right at the very edge leaving the smaller rocks where they are to anchor that side of the image. What do you think? Cleaner image? Better balance? Try it. I love the image. I thought it was iron toned at first. Quote Link to comment
