An eye popper! Great detail on the catapillar. But I think the background needs despeckling. Too much noise that is probably also due to compression from PN. Regards.

hey i have a very similar shot of a caterpillar in my folder too, just that the caterpillar is facing the other side, but same angle though :) nice shot! cheeers!

Really nice shot. Mabey too much dof, a little more bokeh may have been in order imo.

Reminds me of Heimlich in "A Bug's Life." Agree with Peter that shallower DOF will isolate the main subject and emphasize him better. Would you consider going back in and blur the background? Secondly, composition-wise, he's a bit too centered as well as a bit small in comparison to rest of frame. Still, a competent capture.

Eye popping color. Noise might be from sharpening.

I like the green cast. Nicely done!

Joe, I prefer this one, the original. On my high-res monitor I could see an artifact on your "version 2" because of the manipulated background, which I cannot see here...

The cropping is better in the version 2 , though.
