Part of an on going photo documentary of an abandoned subway system in Rochester NY

 

Note: This photo is underneath a downtown library and the water is from an old aquaduct

that carries the water to an adjacent river. I don't know why yet?

What an interesting shot! Were you in a boat? Great lighting, but it sure must have been hard to work with that bright light coming in straight ahead. Nice exposure!

This is the most interesting shot in the folder posted so far. The layering of planes from foreground to background is v. nice. Scan seems a little flat, but then a lot of mine are too.

To answer the first question: no I was not on a boat. I am on the other side of this strange aquaduct. In the photo the water is simply pouring out of those archways and spilling into the river.

 

As far as my scans go, it seems to be a balancing act depending on what monitor I am seeing these images on. My PC monitors tend to show everything dark, but my Mac flatscreen and Mac Viewsonic shows detail brilliantly (work and home computers). I'm not sure how to resolve this problem for best viewing.
