rayn 0 Posted June 16, 2004 Just curious, did you alter the hue at all or did you just reduce the color saturation? I've tried reducing the saturation on some of my portraits, but they never turned out this good. Nice work. Link to comment

_dith_b. 0 Posted June 17, 2004 The arm is too white and now becomes more important compared to the face. But yes, she is beautiful and the photo is good. A bit boring for me, that's all. I like your photo of the week better. Link to comment
psaga 0 Posted June 17, 2004 I've been staring at this picture for a long time trying to pinpoint what is this something that draws my attention? Yes, the picture attracts me so that I can't stop looking at it. It is technically well executed but I have seen lots of photos of equal quality that were simply speaking uninteresting, boring. Is this the pose of the model that keeps me admiring it? No, becasue the pose is rather a standard one. Therefore, it must be the model. Well, she is a pretty girl but not in my type so it cannot be that either. So what is it? There is something in the way she looks into the camera. She is mysterious and teasing. No doubt about it. But I am sure that this alone wouldn't fixate me on this picture. I rest my case. I don't know what it is. I guess, this must be the magic of photography. Link to comment
martin_fahey 0 Posted June 17, 2004 What is odd (striking?) about this is that the eyes are very clear, yet without any obvious catchlight - as if there was good light to show the eyes, but somehow the catchlights were then removed. Makes her eyes almost disturbing.... Link to comment
