ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted August 1, 2001 The captured facial expression and hand are great. At first, the top of the head being cropped bothered me. The more I looked at it; it didn't matter. The photo is in the face and hand.7/8 Link to comment
bronislaw 0 Posted August 1, 2001 A rare moment indeed. Lighting, opportunity and composure are great. Link to comment
beth_creswell 0 Posted August 2, 2001 one of the least helpful things you can receive on here is a whole list of complements and no criticism, but what can i say? i think it's really wonderful and wouldn't change a thing. wish i knew your grandfather so i could appreciate it fully...i seem to be missing out. stacey_waselovich 0 Posted September 2, 2002 Very interesting! The ligthing is beautiful - it looks like he's examining the light coming from his palm. Link to comment
sterling hein 0 Posted September 30, 2002 Good work in capturing the subject "in media res". Link to comment
wespettus 0 Posted September 30, 2002 What a wonderful expression and gesture. I wish we could see who or what he is focused on. Nevertheless and wonderful shot. Link to comment
mike_sea 0 Posted October 1, 2002 Nie shot here. His hands are the centre of expression and it fits together well. I would only suggest you crp the your godfathers left hand out of the shat - it won't affect the image except to take out the distraction Mike Sea Link to comment
scott_cragg 0 Posted October 1, 2002 Captures the feelings of the subject well, I would have framed the shot a little higher though. Link to comment
rdavila 0 Posted December 15, 2003 Excelente captura del momento, la expresión es excelente, aunque coincido con que la mano izquierda no debería estar en el cuadro. Link to comment
thales milesius 0 Posted December 15, 2003 Gracias, Rodrigo. From a aesthetical perspective the left hand does disturb the picture, but I left it because (hopefully) it helps to tell where and how is the other arm. By allowing to know about that arm, I thought the image would inform more about the attitude, contributing to the expresion itself. :) Link to comment
nino1 0 Posted March 30, 2004 the only thing missing here for me is your sister, it would be also more interesting. Nice portrait anyway. Link to comment
