Mi godfather teaching the Bible to my sister

thales milesius

A rescued image from my old negatives. Was affected by moisture, so it got grained after cleansing.

The captured facial expression and hand are great. At first, the top of the head being cropped bothered me. The more I looked at it; it didn't matter. The photo is in the face and hand.

one of the least helpful things you can receive on here is a whole list of complements and no criticism, but what can i say? i think it's really wonderful and wouldn't change a thing. wish i knew your grandfather so i could appreciate it fully...i seem to be missing out.

What a wonderful expression and gesture. I wish we could see who or what he is focused on. Nevertheless and wonderful shot.

Nie shot here. His hands are the centre of expression and it fits together well.

I would only suggest you crp the your godfathers left hand out of the shat - it won't affect the image except to take out the distraction

Excelente captura del momento, la expresión es excelente, aunque coincido con que la mano izquierda no debería estar en el cuadro.

Gracias, Rodrigo. From a aesthetical perspective the left hand does disturb the picture, but I left it because (hopefully) it helps to tell where and how is the other arm. By allowing to know about that arm, I thought the image would inform more about the attitude, contributing to the expresion itself. :)

the only thing missing here for me is your sister, it would be also more interesting. Nice portrait anyway.
