clayton_kratzer 0 Posted June 3, 2004 Great display of scale. The huge rock wall above the ruins adds impact to the photo. Nice work! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 3, 2004 Peter, I echo Clayton's remarks. The building, with the resulting impression of the size of a person, certainly does give scale to the rock face. From other shots I've seen of this location this one seems partially desaturated. Is this the way it really looks or is there a reason for the low saturation? Terrific composition in any case. With all due respect to Andrew, below, to crop out the buildings at the base of the frame would be a big mistake. These ruins reenforce the scale and are as important an element as the white ruins in telling the story of the place. Best, LM. Link to comment
g.r.e.g. 0 Posted June 3, 2004 I've seen this shot before and I know it can be very effective.I would suggest strong contrast and Hue saturation to bring out and ID the colors. Link to comment
andrew_oneill 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Like the perspective but I think would be much stronger if you cropped off some of the bottom of the image to just above the dark area. That area is pulling my eyes away from those little structures and I want then to stay there. Link to comment
