salvatore.mele 1 Posted June 2, 2004 It was early in the morning, with fog coming up from the [not so dense] jungle. On the terrases of the Borobudur this statue looked as thoughtful to me and a few years later I still get the same impression looking at the picture. Does it convey you any such mood? Comments on the composition? Any cropping suggestion? The light -maybe a bit dull- I cannot change! Looking forward to your comments. Should you like it, try and peek at a href=http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2397169>this other statue or href=http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2397173 > a wider angle view of (from) the temple. maranwilson 1 Posted June 3, 2004 I don't know if you could have gotten a higher angle or not, but the fog coming off the jungle looks much more interesting than the sky on this day and I would have preferred to see more of it instead of sky. The black triangle in the lower right corner is a bit distracting to me. not much you can do about that though. Nice image though. You can practically hear the peaceful silence. Link to comment
pbajzek 0 Posted June 3, 2004 This is nice - it does have a feeling of serenity to it. I think it would have been stronger if the subject were more to the left, with more background on the right side. This would strengthen the feeling of directionality and lead the eye a bit. I agree seeing more of the beautiful landscape would have been great, but of course this isn't always possible. Link to comment
gbc 0 Posted March 9, 2005 Try using a while border - the black border seems to 'negate' the image further. Link to comment
leepix 0 Posted March 18, 2005 I would place the Buddha to the right, a bit more. But the serenity is lovely. Nice mood. Emotion is the part of photography- or any art- that counts most. All the other details are just parts of that sum. This has the Feeling. Very nice. Link to comment
